I have long been enthralled by Tibetan thangka paintings, since I was a child in fact, and I've been chanting the Tara mantra for many moons now. Late last year I had the opportunity to attend a traditional thangka painting workshop with a ninth-generation Tibetan thangka master. Following this workshop I was flooded with inspiration — this new collection is one of the fruits of that creative energy.
The Tara Collection unfolds across seven coordinating prints, each available in two colourways — Moonlit and Sunkissed. At the heart of it is Tara's Blessing, a trailing floral hero print with mudra hands and lotus blooms winding through the palette. Tara's Garden sits alongside it — a peonie trail in the same rich tones — while Om Tare, a soft Tibetan script blender, carries the quiet hum of mantra through the collection. Sacred Trellis brings a soft, climbing vine to the mix, and Temple Stripe and Scattered Blooms add coordinating texture and playfulness. Tara's Diamond rounds it out with a bold geometric medallion print. Together, the seven move as one story — devotional and endlessly layerable.
